120th Wapping Fair

      Presented by the South Windsor Jaycees Foundation, Inc. A new year...a new fair! Roderick Russell-fire eater and sword swallower, Circus Stella's Jayna Lee and Adam Lowe-Acrobatics, Trapeze and Bed of Nails, Racing Pigs and Ducks!

Visit our booth at the Summer Concert Series at Rockville Bank Park in Evergreen Walk, 7 pm.
July 12: Fat Grip (Rock Band)
August 2: Degenerates (Rock Band)
August 9: South Windsor Community Band
August 16: Changes in Latitude (Jimmy Buffet Cover Band)

Volunteers are the backbone of the Wapping Fair.
Come out and join the fun while helping the South Windsor community.

The Wapping Fair needs more than 20 volunteers at all times to provide a quality, safe fair for all those that attend. Many groups, including the South Windsor Teen Center, Local Boy Scouts, Police explorers and La Leche League provided invaluable assistance to the fair.

Volunteers are needed during the Wapping Fair in the following areas:

  • Admissions
  • Grounds
  • Food Tent
  • Overseeing Exhibits & Animals
  • Volunteer Benefits:
    Individuals
    • Admission into the fair that day
    • Food script for one meal at the Wapping Fair food booth upon completion of four hour shift

    Community Groups
    Community groups may receive commercial booth space for their efforts or receive a donation from the fair.
    Community Group Opportunities

    Businesses
    Can your business provide two or four people for a four hour shift? If so, your business will receive free publicity by having:

    • your employees wear company apparel
    • a sign displaying your company name in the area you are working

    In addition, your employees will receive:

    • free admission into the fair the day they volunteer
    • food script for a meal at the Wapping Fair food booth after their shift is over
    • invitation to post fair volunteer party

    Companies must sign up by September 2, 2012.
    Shifts given on first come, first serve basis.

    Days/Hours Needed:
    Thursday, 9/6, 6 pm- 10 pm
    Friday, 9/7, 6 pm-11 pm
    Saturday, 9/8, 10 am-11 pm
    Sunday, 9/9, 10 am-6 pm
